An Easy Way For Your Kids To Play In The Snow Longer

January 16th, 2007 · No Comments

My Leaps and Bounds catalog arrived yesterday (okay, last week but I just got to peruse it last night ) ), and right on page three is something we really need in our house: to-the-elbow mittens and gloves.

As you can see, the L-Bow gloves and mittens stretch beyond the wrist. I can see right away that these would be useful for two reasons:

  • keeping hands and wrists warmer and drier than the typical glove/mitten
  • being more difficult to fall off (or pull off) and get lost

There’s Thinsulate inside, which is very warm (and soft), and they have vinyl palms, which I imagine gives traction.

We’ve had snow on the ground since before Christmas here in Colorado, which is highly unusual, and we keep getting more. Considering that March is typically our snowiest Winter month, I think these would be a great buy. And even better - they usually cost $19.95 but they’re on sale for $14.95.

I just wish they had some in toddler- and adult-size.

Excuse me while I pull out my credit card and go order some. lol
