I stopped wearing a watch the night I went into labor with my oldest child. In those first few weeks after birth, it just wasn’t necessary - my schedule was not my own and my son didn’t care what time it was… I fed him when he was hungry, he slept when he was tired. Ahhh, what a nice way to live, actually.
Then after a couple months, when I started to feel sociable again and ready to get out, it was just too uncomfortable to wear a watch. Particularly when I was carrying him (he was 20 lbs. at 6 months and I wasn’t familiar with slings yet) or while nursing him (his head pushing against the watch band was more than I could stand - yes, I’m a bit “highly sensitive” ).
I’d tried wearing a pendant watch, too, but would forget to put it on when I left the house, or he’d play with it and mess up the settings… just too much of a hassle.

So I recently found these [tag]Vessel Tempo Time Tags[/tag] and I think
they’re a great solution for the parent who doesn’t want to (or isn’t able to) wear a watch! They can clip anywhere on your clothing that you want to put them - your sleeve, the collar of your shirt (maybe when only your kids will be seeing you?
, your pants pocket. They could even be a set of cuff-links… maybe.
And for those of you with kids old enough to read the time and have a need to know the time, but don’t like to wear watches (like my oldest son, who’s now 7 1/2), these could clip easily to their shirt or jacket - even their school binders. A quick glance and voila!

By the way, these tags only tell the time, nothing else. No alarms, no date. But you do get a set - one left-handed and one right-handed. I’m getting a set and splitting it with my son. Now he’ll have no excuse when I tell him to be home at a certain time and he’s not.
