You can find them everywhere now – touchless, or automatic, devices. If you go into a public restroom, the toilet will flush itself (hopefully after you’re done sitting on it, but not always
), the water will turn itself on and off, and the paper towels will dispense themselves. If only this technology were available in our homes!
Well, they are, and I just love it!! I haven’t seen this in a public restroom, but it IS available for use in your own home.
The Lentek Automatic Soap Dispenser is a hands-free way to wash your hands or apply lotion. It is a smart, economical and sanitary way to keep your family’s hands cleaner.
I love that touchless part of it – no more spreading cold germs onto the liquid soap pump in the bathroom. And now you don’t have to be concerned about cross-contamination in the kitchen, either. I wash my hands a bunch of times while preparing meat for dinner, but I’ve always wondered if I then needed to be concerned with washing off the soap bottle after all that! No longer.
This sleek soap dispenser dispenses the right amount every time and does it with no effort at all – just put your hand under the spout and an infrared sensor automatically activates the dispenser. Now, my daughter is not tall enough to reach the liquid soap pump, so she gets a stool (usually in the living room), then pulls the soap towards her. The bottle usually tips over when she pushes the pump, and soap gets all over my counter (where she plays in it). While this helps with clean-up when it’s time ;-), it’s really such a waste of soap. The Lentek soap dispenser eliminates both waste and messes.
It has a dollop size-selector, making it easy to choose how much soap you want to dispense, or to accomodate different viscosities (lotion is so much thicker than liquid soap). The company even suggests using it for dispensing sunscreen. I’m not sure that I’d use it for that, preferring to use it for soap. But I wonder if it would work at dispensing oils, as I prefer to use them instead of lotion.
It holds a full 24 ounces of product, as well! This means that I can buy larger containers, which are a better buy for your family. And the machine does use batteries, which are not included when you purchase it. Information on the product says that it has an energy saving design that saves on batteries. Of course, you could use your rechargeable batteries, and be even more economical. ;-)
I think that it really is ideal for homes, as well as offices, daycare centers, and other public locations.

Automatic soap dispensers have really become popular in the last few years, particularly since people started realizing how easy it is to keep their hands clean at all times. Regular hands washing is crucial to maintain proper health and there is nothing easier than using a dispenser for achieving it.
